Saint Fiacre Debut EP Announcement!

It’s Friday. Here’s that information about the upcoming EP!

Our debut EP will be titled Human Form. It’s been engineered by Chris Trestain (christrestain@gmail.com). We’ve gotten the final mixes last week and we are very excited for it! We’ll be sending it to Nada Recording in New Windsor, NY to be mastered by John Naclerio. check out his impressive roster of artists here http://www.nadarecording.com/p/clients.html. We recruited Daniel Bressette (http://danielbressette.com/) to design the artwork to tie into the theme of the record.

The track listing for Human Form will include new versions of Doomsday Sayer and Tired Hands. We’re tidying up the right flow for the songs. The other tracks will be Transparency, ‘Merica, Hand Over Fist and Brother, what have you done?

The album will be released July 31st. We’ll be working on getting it onto every major digital distribution outlet. We will be pressing a very limited 200 CD run of it as well. You’ll get to hear a song next week. We’ll also be dropping a single, so you’ll get to hear two songs really soon.

We’ll be booking a handful of shows all over South Eastern Michigan in support of the release. With admission to these shows, we’ll be giving physical copies of the EP out! While they last!

There will be a raffle at the show and I AM HUMAN shirts for sale. If you are interested in helping out with this event in any way, please feel free to email Henry here (HenryDiem@gmail.com).

It’s 2012.

Hey, it’s Mike. I decided to post on here since Facebook only let’s you say and do so much.

We are hoping that we come into the new year strong, just as we did last in the winter of 2011. I mean, we were playing on a few radio stations across the country and even featured on a station in Germany. We played some fun shows with a lot of great bands, made some new friends in bands like Undesirable People and Quicksand Swimclub and also said goodbye to one of the best bands I’ve ever shared a stage with, Living Like Ghosts. I guess we wouldn’t be Saint Fiacre without some kind of lineup change as well. I think to date, we’ve still spent more time as a three piece than we have as a full band. I don’t know if that’s funny. I don’t care either.

Mike Schepman came and fixed that for us. He’s a cool dude who we can’t wait for you to meet. Yeah, we’ve got two Mike’s. Don’t call either of us Mikey. Since the kid is a tooth pick, that’d make me Fat Mike. Fuck.

I know we’ve been talking about an EP for the better part of the last year. With all of the constant changes we’ve had as a band since starting in 2009, it’s been a rather hard task to complete. We will be finishing the EP in February. It will feature six songs.

Brother, What Have You Done?
Doomsday Sayer
Tired Hands
Transparency
Hand Over Fist
Merica’ (Working title. Was also known as Tigerblood, when we thought that was funny for about 10 minutes.)

Don’t be surprised if we distance ourselves from most of that EP. We wrote four of the songs with James back before Zach was in the band. On top of that, the new songs we’ve been writing with Zach and Mike are easily the best stuff we’ve written so far. We’re already about 5 songs deep in the writing process for a completely new collection of songs that haven’t been played. Not to mention the songs we wrote with Matt in the band. It’d be cool to record a full length this year.

Maybe it will happen?

We’ll have merch again real soon.

We’ve got two shows coming up! Our first shows in about 4 months. Pretty excited to play again.

February 17th at Small’s with Undesirable People and Out Of Step. More TBA

March 9th at The Active Room with The Malcontent, The Fighting Lights, Live It Out and Ardevedra

A bit of news…

As many of you know, we’ve been on the writing grind since December of last year. Including re-writing and re-working ideas, we’ve got about 13 songs. We’re still writing music, but we have decided to record and release a five track EP.

We will begin recording this new EP next month with Chris Trestain. He’s got a bad ass new studio out in Plymouth, MI. We’re pretty excited.

We’ve got three shows coming up and these will more than likely be all we’ve got while we’re in the studio.

June 23rd at Rack & Roll in Riverview, MI w/Latin For Truth, On My Honor, Act As One and Live It Out

July 7th at The Two Way Inn in Detroit, MI w/Casting Call, Giants At Large, Sarah June and our friends in Chances Are…

July 9th at Simon’s After Dark in Allen Park, MI with Undesirable People, Beverly St. Amour and special guest DJs, Tough Call!

We’ve got some fun stuff coming your way! We hope you’re just as excited as we are!

Take care or yourselves and each other! Drink lots of water! Go swimming! Play kickball or baseball! Just get off of your asses and enjoy the nice weather! Summer is here…

Mike/SF

PS- Pick up Louder Than Bombs new ep!

Don’t miss the Tough Call reunion show July 8th at The Magic Stick for the Warped Tour Afterparty!

I know it’s late… but,

I just wanted to let you know, that we here at Saint Fiacre are dedicated to bringing the best MUSIC that our 8 hands and 4 brains can create. Music isn’t a product. It’s something more than a battle against a silly idea. It’s what holds us down. Real talk. When we finally get into a studio, you’ll hear us. All four of us. Playing all four of our instruments. You won’t hear us claiming to be inventing the wheel. You’ll just hear something real from us. See you all soon at our upcoming shows!
